thinking about that one anthropology theory that says that early humans may have worshiped plants and in doing so accidentally invented agriculture

basically it went like this

1) wow plants are cool and I like them bc i'm a human and humans like plants, and also I can eat them sometimes
2) Clearly these plants are very good and i'm going to worship them to try and make them happy because i'm a human and humans love to anthropomorphize things

3) It looks like if I put offerings around the plant and cut off the dead parts and water it and generally take care of it the plant grows way taller and makes way more food than normal? (The offerings are probably rotting and fertilizing the soil but i don't know that because i'm some guy in 9,500 BC so i probably think it's magic. Either way i'm gonna keep doing it.)
4) whoops just invented agriculture
